A government-backed standard, a solution designed for every level of the enterprise, and capability measured with evidence.
The curriculum is mapped to the AI Skills for Business competency framework, sponsored by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, funded by Innovate UK and developed by The Alan Turing Institute. The board can verify the standard independently.
Executives, managers and professionals work to the same standard at the depth and pace their level requires, so the direction set at the top is carried by the people accountable for delivering it.
Knowledge, skills and behaviours are assessed separately, with evidence from the workplace, and reported per level and per competency.
Few organisations hold a practical definition of the AI capability each role requires. The AI Skills for Business competency framework provides one, and it is the reference standard on which the solution is built.

VCL Solutions, Value Creation Leadership, is part of TTM Associates Group. We help organisations realise value from AI and digital transformation, and VCL AI Adoption applies our behavioural approach to capability building to the adoption of AI.
Is this a training course?
No. It is an AI capability enablement solution. It begins with a measured baseline of your people, your tools and your risks; leadership agrees the direction and the rules before anyone is trained; skill is built on the organisation's own cases; and it closes when the measures move, with a quarterly check afterwards.
Who is it for?
Enterprises, at three levels: executives, managers and professionals. It is designed for the people who use AI in their roles rather than those who build it. Technical build roles sit outside its scope.
How long does an engagement take?
Assess takes three to four weeks, Align two to three, each delivery cycle eight to twelve weeks, and Advance three to four weeks, followed by a quarterly check. The professionals journey runs eight weeks; the managers and executives journeys run eleven.
What does the diagnostic involve?
A short survey, structured interviews and an inventory of the AI tools already in use. You receive a capability baseline per level and a recommended scope.
How is it tailored to us?
Three inputs shape every engagement: your industry determines the cases, your technology environment determines the tools the sessions run on, and your baseline results determine which sessions each level needs and how far each goes.
Do participants need technical skills?
No. The OECD finds that fewer than 1% of workers need advanced AI skills. The solution is designed for the rest.
What happens to our data during the exercises?
Practice runs on your sanctioned tools or in an enterprise-grade secure sandbox with named, auditable data residency. Nothing a participant enters is used to train a model, and sandbox access closes at programme end.
Which AI tools does it cover?
The verification practice is the same whichever tool the organisation adopts. The same prompt can be run on two or three models, and the judgement taught holds across a change of vendor.
How is progress measured?
Knowledge by assessment before and after; skills by scenario checks and rubric-assessed deliverables; behaviours by a baseline self-rating, a workplace assignment and a re-rating four weeks on. Each level receives a cohort report per competency.
Can it run on site or virtually?
Either, or a blend. Session length, cohort size and journey length are agreed in the Align phase.
We will come back within two working days to plan the Assess phase with you.
The AI Skills for Business competency framework defines the AI capability each role in an organisation requires. VCL applies it to the people who use AI in their roles, at three levels.

Every responsibility carried at a VCL level is a framework responsibility, and every session traces to the competencies it serves. Two areas are deliberately out of scope: technical build roles and public advocacy, neither of which sits within the population the solution serves.
